Yesterday was a great way to round off the week at Clare, with students getting on top of lessons early on. It hadn’t been long, but everyone was already well acquainted with their syllabus and knew exactly where to go first thing. With so much still to look forward to, its great to see everyone so engaged with the course!
The lessons concluded and it was time for some students to peruse and sketch the beautiful city of Cambridge. There were plenty of great sights to draw inspiration from on the trip, and students were keenly snapping some of the best ones on their phone for later. Some highlights included the incredible view over Clare Bridge, as well as King’s Parade and King’s College. The students then sat down and sketched the images they had collated in their sketchbooks. There were some really exceptional drawings produced; Cambridge was clearly a well of inspiration!
Meanwhile, other students had some free time to do with as they wished, with many also choosing to head to Cambridge Town Centre and explore the beautiful architecture, not to mention the shops of course! ORA strongly believes in the value of allowing students to be independent during their studies: something which we are glad to see everyone embracing.
The evening was a steady one, save for the silent disco that some took part in, with the dance floor being set ablaze at a sociable volume! Today, the students are heading to London to visit the National Gallery. Here’s hoping the art they see lives up to their own!
