What an incredible two weeks it’s been here at Queen’s. The students were all raring to get going with the final lessons yesterday morning and make their way over to graduation.
The event went over wonderfully, and it was so satisfying to see the students rewarded for all of their hard work over these last two weeks. It all went by so quickly! It seems like only yesterday that everyone was arriving for the first time. Whilst the students all had their hard work recognised, it was also time to acknowledge other exceptional contributions. These included prizes for exceptionally hard work over duration of the course, as well as awards given to select members of our Junior Dean team, who have all done an incredible job keeping everything running as smoothly as possible.
The event did not end there however, as there was still time for a speech by one of our students, Juliette. The students all loved the speech itself, and it was noted how exceptionally brave it was of Juliette. This was followed by a beautiful piano piece from another student, Taylor. Both together made the event all the more special, and it was great to see students taking part as much as the staff.
This was only start, however. Soon, the students made for the dining hall where they had a three-course meal. It went down a treat and everyone was extremely grateful to the kitchen staff. The whole day was rounded off with all the students from across the Oxford campuses getting together for a party. What a day!
