Excitement was in every corner of the college yesterday from the moment the students woke up until the moment they went to bed. Not even an appearance of some traditionally wet british weather could dampen the spirits of our cohort: The prospect of graduation kept everyone buoyed up!
A trickle of sadness did creep in as the students entered their classrooms and sat down at their desks for the very last time. Throughout the session, the students have learnt so much from their wonderful teachers (and even taught the teachers some things too!) and they would all miss having their help and guidance. It was only fitting that the lessons ended on a high note with the students showcasing all their hard through presentations and final projects!
After the last class had finished, the students wolfed down some lunch and then raced upstairs to get changed into their best clothes for graduation! It was great to see everyone so willing to help each other get ready by lending a hair clip or tying their friend’s tie! They all came downstairs together and headed to the chapel for the ceremony.
The prgramme director kicked things off by making a wonderful speech about all the great achievements of our students, then it was time, at last, for the students to collect their scrolls! With wide smiles and a thunder of applause, each student stepped up in turn.
When it was over, the students took as many photos as possible before heading to the marquee to dance the night away! There could well be some sore feet today, but there wasn’t a sad face to be found yesterday evening!
