What a tremendous two weeks it’s been here at Balliol College. The students have all come so far in such a short space of time, and yesterday it was time to celebrate!
The day began with the final lessons of the course before proceedings quickly turned to the big ceremony. The students received formal recognition for their hard work, but there were also additional awards given out to those who had gone above and beyond during their time on the course. These included academic awards given to students, as well as prizes given to Junior Deans for their exceptional work. It was great to see everyone at ORA acknowledged for their tremendously hard work over the duration of the programme.
The real fun was only just beginning however, as all the students then made their way over to the dining hall for a three-course meal. The kitchen really pushed the envelope and the students enjoyed the exceptional food that had been put on for them. There was more fun to come though, as students from all of our Oxford campuses congregated for a party!
The weather had dipped on this final day of the course, but there was no amount of rain that could have hampered the final bash enjoyed by all. Sugary drinks seemed to have everyone buzzing, and there was a wonderful atmosphere of rejoicing and celebrating as the course officially came to close. It has been an incredible one for all of us at ORA, and we wish all our new graduates the very best in the future!
