Friday in London was a relaxed occasion for our students, as the second ORA session of the summer nears the midway point. There was the usual timetable of lessons, but the evening yielded some rest and enjoyment – the perfect way to welcome in the weekend!
Lessons went off without a hitch, as usual, and the students showed impeccable desire to keep going as their classes delve deeper into topics. Their projects and presentations are coming along nicely, and it’s also great to see that time is being put in outside of the classroom, as everyone looks to stay ahead of the curve.
The afternoon and evening brought some great entertainment, as the students all settled in for a pizza party! There was a wide range of snacks and drinks, and everyone tucked in appreciatively. It was great for all the staff to see everyone so relaxed and happy – the first week has been fantastic and the students have all seemed very well settled at Imperial.
The contest to be crowned champion of the Foosball table was resumed as well, with students getting deeply stuck into the games and competing for every single goal. Despite the fierce nature of the challenge, everyone was still smiling and laughing, with no hard feelings after the games.
The weekend will bring new challenges and more fun as well, but the students are well into the routine of the programme by now, and certainly nothing will faze them. For now though, pizzas are a touch more interesting than topping the class!
