Balliol has had quite the week, and yesterday marked the last day before graduation. There were plenty of lessons to cram in, and then it was off to the University Fair at St Catherine’s.
Lessons all aimed to fit in as much as they could before the course officially wrapped up, and it was great to see the students’ enthusiasm holding right through to this late stage on the course. Lunch provided a welcome opportunity to unwind and kick back before the University Fair later on. It was evident just how far the students had come over the last two weeks, with the formation of friendship groups that will stay together for years to come and memories that will last a lifetime.
Soon it was time to head to the beautiful St Catherine’s campus for the University Fair. It was a great event, with Universities from up and down the country attending to display their wares. The students gained a lot and were encouraged to take notes from those that caught their eye. There was even a talk from the head of ‘The Complete University Guide’, which provided great food for thought for the students before they headed back to Balliol.
The evening was a quiet one, with everyone beginning to feel the impact of a long two weeks. For those who could find the energy however, there was an exceptional Talent Show taking place on site, with some truly memorable performances gripping a captive audience. Others relaxed and chatted, gathering their energies for graduation!
