A few grey clouds on Thursday morning did nothing to dampen the spirits of our cohort! Breakfast was full of animated chatter between the students about their upcoming graduation ceremony tomorrow.
This enthusiasm carried forward into the students’ final full day of lessons and they threw themselves happily into their last classes. For most students, the morning lessons were a chance to round off their final projects and put the finishing touches to their presentations for tomorrow morning. Across all programmes, some fantastic work had been produced this session and the staff are thoroughly looking forward to seeing the fruits of the students’ hard work tomorrow!
After lessons were finished, our students headed out into Oxford for the last time for a bite to eat and to snatch up some final souvenirs. Over the session, our students have settled on favourite places to have lunch, and it was great to see them all so at home in the city.
In the evening, homework club was a popular choice, as always, and it was great to see all our students so willing to help each other with their work.
Those who had already wrapped up their work raced outside for some final games of sport. There wasn’t much need for the students to split themselves into teams for five-a-side football or rounders; they fell naturally into familiar friendship groups. As the games progressed, it was obvious how close the cohort has grown as they hugged each other to celebrate their wins and reassured each other about missed shots.
It’s clear that there are some really strong friendships have blossomed over the last two weeks and, win or lose, the students went off to bed arm in arm with smiles on their faces.
