It’s been a phenomenal week here at St Catherine’s; everyone has learnt so much on their respective courses, and the weather has held up better than we could have hoped. Yesterday was fast-paced, with a packed timetable followed by the University Fair!
Lessons were as varied as ever, with our Business and Enterprise students devising a product pitch that they would then have to present to the class. There were some exceptional ideas being floated, and the students were all very receptive to one-another’s concepts. Just across the hall, other students were discussing the market share of some of the world’s largest companies, from Google to Apple. Next stop, Dragon’s Den!
Elsewhere on Campus, students doing Leadership and Teambuilding were taking a break with some whiteboard games. The challenges required everyone to utilise their acquired knowledge, whilst also allowing them to team up and relax somewhat. Whilst this was going on, similar teamwork was taking place in Academic Writing, with students each writing a different section of an essay which they would then assemble together, with the goal of making it as coherent and logical as possible.
After wrapping up lessons for the day, it was a change of pace for everyone as they headed to the University Fair – a showcase for different Universities to demonstrate what makes them stand out. The students were keen to investigate as much they could, chatting to representatives and taking notes.
Today, the week is at its conclusion, and how the time has flown. Graduation is only hours away!
