As we come towards the end of our first week at Catz, it is with a level of pride that we can comment on how quickly this wonderful cohort of individuals have settled into their routines here in Cambridge.
The day began as usual with lessons, which provided interesting insights for everyone as they delved more deeply into the details of their subject areas. Students are now reaching the peak of their studying in Cambridge and despite a rather hefty load of homework to complete, they are as committed as ever to working diligently.
On Thursday afternoon students enjoyed a full social programme in the afternoon which meant that after their morning lessons, they headed off to the park to enjoy a picnic together. The students laid out rugs to sit on and there was an excellent display of snacks for the group to choose from. Everyone enjoyed their food together and the atmosphere was light as everyone sat in circles chatting.
Once everyone had digested their lunch, it was time for some games! There were several options to choose from including; ball sports, twister and board games. Football was the ever-popular choice, with the group getting stuck in and ready to run. Twister, as usual was a comic affair and those who chose to play board games relaxed on the picnic rugs.
In the evening, students benefited from a personal statement writing workshop, something we hope will set them in a good stead for their academic journeys in the future. Then it was time for a movie night in college or for the brave-hearted there was the option to visit the Cambridge Escape Rooms which were sure to challenge everyone to a puzzle or two!
