As we reach the middle of the last week, lessons are getting more and more intense. The deadline for final projects is right around the corner and all of our students are spending every moment of their lessons working hard.
The approaching deadline is especially felt by our Business Challenge students. The class has been working in groups over the last few days to gather research, draw up designs, and devise marketing strategies for their very own product. Now they have to gather all their information together and create a jaw-dropping presentation to wow the rest of their class! There’s a strong sense of competitive spirit in the classroom as everyone wants to be the group with the best strategy!
In the afternoon, the students finally had the chance to go punting! Lots of the students had been waiting for the opportunity to take a trip down the river since their first day, so it was a very popular choice for an afternoon activity. Though the sky was a little grey, the students did manage to catch a few spots of sun on the way down the river.
It was a great opportunity to shake off some of the tension from this morning, and soon all the students were happily chatting and laughing together as they glided down the river. Some of the students were even brave enough to stand up in the boats and have a go at punting themselves! Unfortunately this led to our first river disaster of the session as the photographer took a tumble into the water! Luckily, a student was holding the camera at the time so the photos were safe!
Back at LMH in the evening, most students spent the evening at homework club, getting some extra work done on their group projects and presentations. After they’d done everything they could for the evening, some students set up a quick game of football in the last light of the day.
