Another day in Ascot, another day of education, enjoyment and entertainment!
Tuesday began with dazzling sunshine and the students started their morning lessons in great spirits after a good night’s sleep and a tasty breakfast. The lessons built on the platform that Monday’s sessions had built, delving into more detail about the topics in hand.
The lessons sandwiched lunchtime, with everyone working hard and reaping the rewards already, as they begin to grasp their subjects. After studying, the students were treated to an interactive Mad Science show, which brought theory to life with a series of fun and exciting experiments!
The students then tucked into their dinner, before a chance to enjoy the stunning weather with some games outside. Hula-hooping proved to be very popular, although Deputy Programme Director Alex had to get the group started with a highly amusing demonstration!
The evening plans also included a drawing activity, a chance for the students to get creative and leave behind some of the technological trappings of modern life. Everyone embraced this digital detox, and the results were encouraging as some fantastic pictures were drawn.
As the sun set on St Mary’s, everyone could reflect positively on a day of laughter and learning. Wednesday will see the students off on an exciting excursion, a prospect which had everyone was full of anticipation for a fun trip as they headed off to bed.
