Today was the first day back after a long, relaxing weekend, so it’s not surprising that there were some bleary eyes at breakfast! But after a few pieces of toast and a glass of orange juice, everyone was feeling brighter and all were eager to get to class!
With the energy of the weekend still behind them, students flew through their classes today and before they knew it, it was lunch time!
In the afternoon, the students headed off into town again – they just can’t get enough of Oxford and its rich culture! Some, who hadn’t had a chance to travel down the river by boat yet, made a beeline for the punting boats. Others ventured off for a game of mini-golf elsewhere in the city – it seems they’re determined to pack as many different sports into the summer as possible!
Back at Hugh’s, the staff organised a scavenger hunt! The students split into groups and raced against each other to try and find all the items on a list somewhere around campus. There were some neck-and-neck moments, and some where one group beat another to an item by a whisker, but in the end Baptiste, Ralph, Gabriel, and Doruk were victorious! Well done them!
In the evening, students let their tastebuds run wild in a cupcake making workshop. It’s a good thing they ate dinner right beforehand, because the smell coming from the kitchen as they baked was delicious!
Those who couldn’t bear to be cooped up inside escaped to the grass outside Hugh’s for a kickabout before bedtime.
