Monday was an exploratory day in London for ORA’s Imperial students – in more ways than one! With lessons starting, as well as a tour and a quiz, there was much to get through and everyone was grateful for the extra sleep they got on Sunday!
The day began with cooler temperatures, although the sun still greeted the students as they made their way down to breakfast. The harmonious atmosphere from Sunday evening was carried over into the morning and the common room was alive with chatter as people ate.
The morning’s cooler weather was a blessing, as the students spent their time in classes getting to grips with their programmes. They were all given introductions to their subjects, as well as an outline of the projects which they will be building towards in the coming fortnight.
In the afternoon the temperature picked up, which was the perfect excuse for the students to get out and enjoy the sunshine as they went on a walking tour of Kensington. Everyone was keen to familiarise themselves with the area around the campus and see some of the sights, such as The Albert Memorial.
In the evening there was the famous ORA quiz, a chance for some early teamwork and healthy competition. The quiz was won by The Oxford Royalestars, whilst The Powerpuff Boys won the prize for the best name. Congratulations to all!
