Imperial College has completed a quick turnaround, as our second cohort of Summer 2019 arrived on the weekend. It was fun-day Sunday in London as the students arrived and settled in with some great games!
The warm temperatures continued in the UK’s capital, making for a pleasant welcome for the new arrivals as they pulled up at Imperial from all over the globe.
The students were also greeted with some delicious refreshments, before a welcome talk and a tour of the campus. The fantastic team of ORA counsellors and other staff made sure to help everyone settle in and calm any lingering nerves the students may have had.
This was also helped by the icebreakers, a fun activity to help everyone get to know each other a bit better. The students played games including ‘Two Truths and a Lie’ where they had to identify the outlier from three interesting statements about another person.
Everyone interacted brilliantly, and there was much laughter as some of the more outlandish claims were made! The games helped everyone relax and there were early friendships growing as the students whiled away the evening joking and chatting together.
It may be early, but there are certainly encouraging signs for our latest cohort at Imperial!
