Yesterday was very much a free day for our students. With no lessons and no scheduled activities until the evening, the students could spend the day however they liked!
Registration ran a little later, so a lot of students took the opportunity to have a lie-in before they got started with their day.
The most popular choice for the morning was heading into Oxford to explore the shops and sights the students hadn’t seen yet.
At lunchtime, most of the students met up together for some pizza at Franco Manca. It was great to see them all wanting to spend time together as a group outside of the set timetable, and it just goes to show how strong the bonds made at ORA are.
After the last crust had been eaten, a large group of the students headed off together to the cinema in Oxford’s Westgate centre. It took a while to decide on a movie everyone would enjoy, but eventually they settled on Spiderman Far From Home. If the wide grins on everyone’s faces as they came out were anything to go by, it was a good choice!
In the evening, there was a talent show back at St. Peter’s. It was a chance for our students to shine in their own unique ways, putting on a wide variety of excellent acts, from singing and dancing to stand up comedy.
With so many amazing performances, it was very difficult to choose a winner, but eventually the staff settled on Anis for her beautiful keyboard playing. Well done Anis! And well done everyone who performed – it was a truly wonderful show of talent.
