St Andrews saw Sunday’s transition from session to session go seamlessly, as a new cohort of students arrived in sunny Scotland. Their arrivals were greeted by our friendly and helpful staff, as well as a selection of refreshments – which were much needed!
The students have travelled from all over the world, as far afield as China and Peru to study at the campus, and they were certainly grateful as the ORA team helped with their bags and got them settled into their accommodation.
Once all the students had arrived safely, Programme Director Vicky gave a great speech, welcoming them all to the campus and going over a few guidelines, as well as the plan for the fortnight to come.
After the welcome talks, it was time for the final few parents who had accompanied some students on their long journeys to say their goodbyes. The students were understandably a little nervous, but the tension was soon relieved with some fun icebreaker activities!
At the end of a big day, everyone was naturally very tired, and it wasn’t long before there were some sleepy faces. This meant that the students went to bed, and grabbed a good night’s sleep ahead of Monday, when their academic programmes start. Despite the tiredness, there was much excitement for what is set to be a fantastic session!
