As our students had free time all day yesterday, the day began a little slower than usual! Most took advantage of the slightly later registration times and had a well-deserved lie in after their busy first week.
Once everyone had at last eaten some breakfast, our students were free to split up and spend the day however they liked. Some of the more studious amongst the cohort decided to spend the morning doing homework and making progress on group presentations.
Others headed out into Oxford to spend the day shopping or visiting any sights that they hadn’t had a chance to see yet.
By the time lunchtime arrived, even those students who’d stayed behind had headed out into the city, and a large group of our students all decided to have lunch together. It’s very encouraging to see all of our students so eager to spend time together as a group, and it just goes to show how strong the friendships made during ORA sessions really are.
The evening was a little more fast-paced than the day had been as the students took part in a sports evening with the students from Hugh’s. Of course, there was some friendly rivalry between the two cohorts, but all the students showed great sportsmanship throughout the evening.
By the end of the event, everyone was happily chatting and laughing together, which was great to see. It looks like the students will be going into Monday with a few more blossoming friendships to enjoy!
