Sunday was spent the way it should be for our students staying at Univ – chilling out and enjoying some free time to take part in some important and indulgent self care.
Students got the chance to enjoy a lie in on Sunday, and as they woke from their longer and more restful sleep, they were greeted by a traditional full English breakfast to start off their day. Once they had enjoyed breakfast as a big group, most of the students headed back to their rooms to complete some of their assignments.
So far, all of our students at Univ have shown particular dedication to their programmes and they have fully immersed themselves in all of their classes. Teachers across the programme have been impressed by their engagement as well as their enthusiasm in their classes, and all of them have formed lasting friendships in their lessons as well as outside of the classroom.
Once homework for the day was finished with, there was plenty of time to chill out and enjoy a lazy Sunday. Some students headed into the city centre in groups to explore some of the interesting sights here, like the Ashmolean and the Pitt Rivers Museum. Others chose to use their free time to do some shopping on the High Street, with several of the group buying the branded Oxford souvenirs to take back home with them.
In the evening, everyone came back together to enjoy dinner. It was wonderful to hear them reflect on their days and share their personal stories about their adventures in the city. This group have shown real teamwork as they have always supported one another during their stay. There will definitely be enduring international friendships here!
