ORA’s first St Andrews cohort of Summer 2019 has graduated!
Friday was the day our students have been looking forward to since they started the programme a couple of weeks ago, as it marked the celebration of their academic and social achievements during their time in Scotland.
After a morning of more casual academic sessions, the students used their free time in the early afternoon to get ready for the celebrations. Everyone put a lot of effort in and there were some sharp outfits on display as they arrived for the ceremony.
Everyone did brilliantly during the session and passed with ease, which meant they could savour receiving their awards all the more. There were also two special awards for each programme, one rewarding the student with the highest final mark and one for the student with the best effort levels.
After the presentations, there was a chance to take some photos and then it was off to a restaurant for a delicious graduation dinner. The dinner was a chance for the counsellors to dish out some amusing awards, including ‘Most Likely to Sleep Through An Earthquake’!
Some of the students then took the chance to make speeches thanking the counsellors and all the other staff, as well as their peers. It was a very fitting end to a touching and joyous day at St Andrews.
