Friday morning arrived at St Peter’s with a definite buzz of excitement in the air. As tonight’s part and tomorrow’s trip to London drew closer, the students were full of enthusiasm and chatter at breakfast.
Despite the clear elation among the students, they were all able to knuckle down and make the most of their Friday lessons. Programmes are at the halfway point now, so it really is crucial that the students give lessons their all as they move towards presentations and hand-in days.
In recognition of this, some students used their free time in the afternoon to get as much work done as possible so they could enjoy a homework-free weekend. Meanwhile others had decided to spread the workload across the weekend and soon headed out into Oxford city for a spot of shopping. The staff had planned a Wimbledon-themed disco for the evening, and lots of students were eager to buy costumes.
Once everyone was back on campus, it was time to get changed and head down to the marquee for the party to begin.
The evening kicked off with a delicious BBQ, offering both burgers and fresh salad to our hungry students. It was a great way to finish the week with a more relaxed and casual dinner.
Once all the plates were cleared away, it was time for the main event to begin – the silent disco! Everyone donned headphones, which let them listen to whichever music track they liked best while they danced the night away together.
There might be a few sore feet tomorrow morning, but there were certainly a lot of smiles!
