Yesterday was another packed and eventful one at Univ as the students got deeper into their academic journey and practiced Interview Preparation as part of our Enrichment Programme. We also take a look ahead at what’s to come…
The day began early, with students being overwhelmingly prompt to their first lessons of the day, which were General English for the Modern World and International Medical Research later in the day. Others continued on iOS Programming and Web Development. The students were diligent throughout and are already showing a good understanding of their chosen subjects.
These were broken up by a session on Interview Preparation; the students were given practical advice on how to be in an interview scenario, with additional direction on how to structure a personal CV. With one of the aims of our 19+ Programmes being to aid students in the job market, the Enrichment sessions become just as vital as the core curriculum.
And there’s so much more yet to come for everyone enrolled this Summer. Tomorrow brings with it a Clinical Skills Workshop at Oxford Brookes in Headington, where the students attending will receive all-day training spanning everything from hand-washing to intravenous cannulations.
Looking ahead to next week, the students can expect an incredible range of Masterclasses from Academic Guest Speakers across the board, including Professor Susan Bright, Professor of Law at Oxford University, and Eric Wroolie, founder of Overpass Apps.
