Classes yesterday were full of the friendly chatter and attentive hard work of a cohort who are really getting into the swing of things. Seeing them so dedicated on just day two of their stay is very promising!
After a scrumptious lunch, it was time for our students to take on some masterclasses. There were a range of great options to choose between – from crime scene investigation to Sales and Marketing.
By far the most popular of the options was the fan-powered car masterclass out in the marquee. Students worked together in groups to test the boundaries of their engineering knowledge by building their own fan-powered cars. It was a very energetic and enthusiastic masterclass, which culminated in a very competitive race between all the cars.
The winner of the fan-powered race was a car named Jeremy and G – sailing across the finish line in just 2.46 seconds! It just goes to show how talented the students we have here are!
After dinner, there was a chance for students to pick the brains of their counsellors in a university Q&A session. It was great to see all of LMH coming together to share experiences and offer as much advice as they could.
In the last light of the evening, there was just time for some students to head outside and play some sports out on the grass.
