Tuesday was a day of celebration for our St Andrews cohort, as many of them reached important milestones on their academic programmes. Their hard work is certainly paying off, and the ORA staff have been handing out a number of prizes as everyone continues to excel.
There have also been rewards in the form of fun activities during free time. Try as it might, the Scottish weather can’t dampen the students’ spirits. Indoor tennis was the latest to capture their imaginations, as everyone seemingly came down with a case of Wimbledon fever!
Some of the students have taken to running on the beach, which makes a spectacular backdrop in the changeable weather, whilst others have visited the Old Course at St Andrews – viewed by many as ‘The Home of Golf’.
The students also enjoyed a movie night after dinner, everyone settling down with some snacks to catch a few films and socialise – which the students have all done fantastically.
The programme may be nearing an end, but the lessons learned and friendships formed in this first session are bound to last much longer.
