Another session begins here at Yarnton, and we were fortunate enough to welcome our new students to this historic manor in the heat of the British sunshine! These new arrivals are our third group of students to descend on Yarnton and it is with great excitement that all of our staff open the gates to another fabulous cohort.
Throughout the afternoon, our students from all over the world began to arrive, and as our brilliant team of counsellors were on hand to help with the luggage everyone took some time to take in their wonderful surroundings as they introduced themselves to their peers who will be studying with them during their stay.
There was a chance to enjoy some welcome refreshments on the lawn outside and it was lovely to see so many parents here waving a final goodbye to their children.
Once everyone was present, it was time to head off for the afternoon’s welcome talks given by Adam, who is always keen to make sure the students know exactly what is expected from them academically during their stay here. Adam also emphasised the importance of respect and sensitivity within this international community, ending with a final reminder to have fun and make the most of this experience.
Students then enjoyed a delicious dinner in the long gallery before counsellor Alex, took them on a tour of the building. The evening ended with a few icebreaker games to get the conversation flowing. Finally, it was time for some well deserved rest as everyone looks forward to a busy day of classes tomorrow!
