It was a relaxed start to Sunday as students at Clare were treated to an extra hour in bed before they began their day. It has been a busy week so the supplementary sleep was welcomed and at breakfast the group were even more animated than usual as they looked forward to another fun day in Cambridge.
In the morning, students got to enjoy some fun outdoor activities as Clare hosted their very own Sports Day! Students played games such as rounders, football, sprints and the quintessentially British egg and spoon race. The whole group loved the activities and there was plenty of laughter throughout the morning.
Following an active morning there was time to head into the city centre to enjoy some exploring. Whilst some chose to experience more of the city, others chose to visit Fitzwilliam Museum, with a few opting to take advantage of the good weather to go for a boat ride down the river Cam.
After dinner, some of the students went on a nature talk to Grantchester, a quaint village located next to the river Cam. It is famous for its literary connections, with the idyllic beauty of the place attracting poets and writers alike.
The evening then concluded with a talent show. Whilst some chose to participate and others chose to spectate, the counsellors were keen to display their individual talents, much to the amusement of the whole group.
