Summer has well and truly arrived in Oxford this week and with it we also welcome our first group of students to Jowett Walk!
Jowett Walk is a modern annex of Balliol college which boasts an impressive three former prime ministers in its alumni – Herbert Asquith, Harold Macmillan, and Edward Heath. Jowett itself offers a wide range of exciting sports facilities, from squash courts to a cricket pavilion and for more artistic students, The Michael Pilch Theatre will be accessible throughout their stay.
Jowett Walk has the best of both worlds in terms of location. While it sits in a relatively quiet area of Oxford, it’s only a five minute walk from Jowett to the city centre, which makes it the ideal location for our students aged 13-18. During their stay, participants can enjoy the bustle and culture of the main city while living and studying in a safe, secure environment.
No matter whether our students are part of an arts programme like our Film Academy or a STEM programme like Medical School Preparation, all students will have access to teaching of the highest calibre.
But Oxford Royale isn’t only about education; it’s also about discovering other cultures and making friends that will last a lifetime. Students will be able to explore the city, take part in sports and activities they may never have tried before, and mix with students from 150 different countries.
It certainly looks like it’ll be a summer to remember!
Make sure to follow ORA’s blog and social media where we’ll be posting photos, updates and videos about all the exciting things our students are up to!
