As Oxford Royale Academy’s Summer Schools continue to commence for the summer, we are happy to officially launch our award-winning programme to the college of Balliol, Oxford.
Perhaps Oxford’s most progressive college, Balliol is also one of the Universities’ highest performing, having hosted reams of notable alumni over the years, from Brave New World author Aldous Huxley to British Prime Ministers Harold Macmillan, Edward Heath and Herbert Asquith. Founded in 1263, Balliol has made a name for itself as one of Oxford’s most exciting places to study and live, with its own unique time-honoured customs and traditions. It even has its own college tortoise!
Perfectly located in the heart of Oxford, Balliol College provides easy access to the local shopping districts and Radcliffe Square, whilst also being well-integrated with the rest of the University.
With over 150 nationalities represented at ORA this summer, students will also have the opportunity to learn about one-another’s different backgrounds and heritage. There are also after-class activities which facilitated by ORA’s friendly Junior Deans and Counsellors, providing a great way for students to socialise and build connections that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
As the next two weeks progress, we’ll be posting updates, pictures and videos about all the wonderful things the students are getting up to – so make sure you bookmark this blog and follow ORA’s Social Media channels to stay up-to-date.
