We’re nearly halfway through our first session at St Andrew’s, and the students are all working hard. But what exactly are they working on? This is the ultimate guide to all the programmes ORA is running in Scotland this summer.
First up is Business and Enterprise, which is aimed at enhancing the students’ leadership skills, as well as providing information about economics, management and finance. They will also group together to create, develop and market their own business plans!
Secondly, Engineering Preparation. This programme is challenging but also very rewarding, as the students will sample the fundamentals of Engineering and gain insight into what studying it at University might entail. They will also develop their ability to draw together Mathematics and Science.
The next programme is Law School Preparation, aimed at providing a detailed look into the main principles of the subject. The students will gain information on a range of legal concepts, including those which affect aspects of adult life such as Contract Employment.
Those with grand designs in mind will be keenly taking in all that our Summer Architecture programme has to offer. St Andrews is a town full of some diverse and fascinating styles, and a good practical example of some of the things our students will be learning.
Last but most certainly not least is the Medical School Preparation programme, which aims to give aspiring medical professionals an insight into the realities of studying at some of the UK’s top medical schools. The programme covers things like applications, as well as courses and careers.
Plenty on offer to our St Andrews students this summer, and a great chance to put themselves on track for bright futures!
