Friday marked the end of the first week of lessons in Session One of our Imperial College programme in 2019, and the students were certainly in high spirits.
Following breakfast on another sunny morning, there was a full set of academic sessions with lunch sandwiched in between. By now, the students have really got to grips with their subjects and are still as enthusiastic as when they started.
In the evening everyone took the chance to unwind, with a fun party. There was a nice buffet and some games and films laid on for the students, as well as pizzas – a whole trolley of them!
The games included an old common room favourite – Foosball. This brought out the competitive edge in several of the students, although fortunately nobody’s behaviour warranted a yellow card!
It was a relaxing end to what has been a high-intensity week, albeit an enjoyable one as well. Students have made friends and worked diligently, which has impressed everyone from the ORA team. We hope there will be more of the same from them next week.
