Friday was a day which tested the participants’ minds with both logic and moral challenges. They didn’t let it faze them, as they showed maturity and consideration in the face of these puzzles.
It was another day of stunning weather in New Haven, as has been the case all week. The participants woke to more blazing sunshine and optimism was high as they headed down for breakfast.
In the morning classes, the participants on the Global Leadership Programme discussed the issues of liberty and equality, and whether they infringe on each other. They handled what could have been a sensitive topic very well. They also discussed their essay requirements to ensure they were completely prepared.
Meanwhile, in Engineering, the participants were working up an appetite by learning about the workings of binary number systems. After lunch, everyone was split into groups of five as they all went off to tackle an escape room.
This was as popular an activity as it was challenging, with many of the participants solving the puzzle in the nick of time, whilst those who didn’t make it out were only a few steps shy when the time ran out. Bad luck!
Into the evening, and the participants took a chance to do some homework and relax after a busy evening on Thursday. Saturday is set to be a big day, with a very special excursion planned. Watch this space!
