The morning brought wonderful sunshine and all of the students were enthusiastic to start another interactive day of lessons. It has been fantastic to see their commitment to their studies from the outset here at Catz, however everyone is looking forward to the weekend and the opportunity to explore the city of Cambridge in more detail.
Medical Preparation Classes got off to a great start. After a brief introduction to the nerve system, the students were taught how to test one another’s reflexes with the medical hammer, which proved very entertaining. However, once the initial laughter wore off, the talented group were interested to find out more about why and how the muscles work.
Following a healthy lunch and plenty of water, the students went out into the heat to enjoy a sporty afternoon of activities. All of the counsellors here at Catz got involved in playing games out on the grass, and those who preferred to relax in the sunshine, spectated from comfy blankets on the grass and soaked up the rays.
In the evening, there was a chance for some discussion in debate club which proved popular with a large portion of the cohort who are interested in offering their diverse perspectives and opinions.
After this, it was a crafty end to the day as students got the chance to make their own dream catchers with some help from the counsellors and Junior Deans. We all look forward to some warm weather over the weekend and a wonderful barbecue on the lawn.
