As usual, classes went off without a hitch at Yarnton yesterday. The warm weather is leaving everyone at the manor in a wonderfully happy and summery mood. In fact, the day went so well that the students were able to take the time to relax and have an ice cream at lunch time – the perfect way to chill out with friends after a hot, productive morning.
After classes had finished, the real highlight of the day came when students had a chance to demonstrate more of their numerous skills in Yarton’s talent show.
There were a wide range of acts; from stand up comedy to singing, dancing, and keyboard playing. It just goes to show what a wide range of talented students we have at Yarnton this year!
But the best thing about the talent show was how many of our students performed with their friends. Peter and Caroline sang a funny song together that had everyone in stitches while Dennis and Harvey threw down some amazing dance moves to the beat of their friend’s fantastic keyboard playing. As always, it looks like lots of our students will go away with friendships that will last for many years after the summer.
The solo acts were just as amazing with several girls plucking at the audience’s heartstrings with impressive vocal covers of various emotionally-charged songs. One of our very brave councillors, Jack, even stepped up to give the students he’s been working with an unforgettable performance on guitar.
With such an incredible show of talent, it’s clear we have some rising stars on our hands at Yarnton!
