It was another brilliant day at Clare as the students set off for their classes in the sunshine. After a few nights on campus, everyone here is now beginning to get more settled, and it is fantastic to see so many friendship groups starting to consolidate.
Classes finished at the usual time and all of the students were a little tired after absorbing so much interesting information. However, with the prospect of some energetic Masterclass workshops later in the day, everyone was raring to go once they had a short break for some food.
The Masterclass options included: the Music festival, Fan Powered Cars and Soap Making. The Sales and Marketing Group had the opportunity to make their own soap and then sell it, whilst those working the Fan Powered Cars had the chance to fashion their own vehicles and race them against one another. For the Music Festival Masterclass the students had to create and market their own Music Festival – which seemed very appropriate given that the UK’s most famous festival, Glastonbury has just finished.
The Masterclasses were received with a great amount of enthusiasm and there was plenty of laughter filling the Memorial Court at Clare. Once the classes were over, some of the students from the Music Festival Masterclass brought the activities to an end with some brilliant violin playing.
Given the excitement over the Masterclasses all of the students were looking forward to an excellent meal and they were not disappointed! They enjoyed a fantastic barbecue outside, followed by a few games of football on the lawn.
