The students at Clare looked forward to a good breakfast after such a busy day of introductions yesterday. In the morning, the dining hall was abuzz with activity as the whole group got ready to start their first day of classes here in Cambridge.
It was brilliant to note how quickly all of our students immersed themselves in their programmes and with the help of our brilliant team of academics at Clare, they settled easily into their classes, asking questions and getting to know their classmates.
Once classes were complete, it was time for the whole group to head into the city and do some sightseeing. It was a particularly beautiful day in Cambridge and as our group crossed over the bridge into the city, everyone watched as tourists glided over the water on punts.
In the city, the group had the chance to learn about some of the rich history of Cambridge. There was plenty of water on hand as the sun was shining brightly, and several students took breaks to sit, relax and admire the majesty of local museums, cafes and gardens.
Following the tour, the students grabbed an ice cream or sorbet to cool off after their warm walk. Then everyone strolled back over the river towards college for dinner. Once dinner was over, the whole group took part in a quiz about the college and everyone found it interesting to learn about the history of Clare!
