Following a busy arrivals day where Catz registration team provided an exceptionally warm welcome for 69 students, everyone was keen to begin their exciting programmes. It is important to express our deepest gratitude to all of our brilliant campus staff who ensured everyone arrived safely from an impressively broad range of international locations!
After a healthy breakfast in the dining hall, our group of students headed for their first classes full of enthusiasm. Our dedicated team of teachers launched the day with their inspirational lessons on Common vs Civil Law Systems, Medical Preparation, HTML coding (ITI Headings) as well as Business and Economics.
The excitement in Sherlock Court following the first classes was evidence of the energy, expertise and vision of the teaching team. It is incredibly promising that so many of our students have already expressed how much they are looking forward to the rest of their academic courses.
Following lessons, there was a chance to do some sightseeing in Cambridge and thanks to the wonderful weather everyone stopped off for some ice cream at Jack’s Gelato. Once the tour was over, it was time for dinner and a quiz on campus. All of our students have already made their mark on campus, demonstrating wonderfully helpful punctuality, good manners and sociability.
These excellent attributes are landmarks of what we aim to instil here at ORA and can only take them far in life! Their attitudes to the programme have already expressed the essential spirit of St Catharine’s Cambridge: maintaining academic excellence in a relaxed, sociable atmosphere.
