Go, Go, Go!
Our first full programme at Yale is underway as Summer 2019’s first contingent of students arrived in New Haven, Connecticut on Sunday. After our successful pilot in 2018, the ORA team were buzzing with the prospect of getting started this year.
Everyone was greeted with delightful sunshine, and excitement for the fortnight ahead was high! The students had travelled from all over the world and, after some long journeys, many were very grateful for the welcome refreshments on arrival – as were some of the accompanying parents!
Once everyone had been safely checked in, the Programme Director, Ron, led the Welcome Talk, followed by dinner and then a chance for the students to have any questions answered in the Induction and Safety Talk.
In the evening, the Icebreakers session allowed the students to learn a bit about each other, and start making friends. After that, if was off to bed for a well-earned night’s sleep ahead of their first full day on Monday! The students will start with some introductory lessons, with a campus tour and some social time also planned.
As the next two weeks progress, we’ll be posting updates, pictures and videos about all the wonderful things the students are getting up to – so make sure you bookmark this blog and follow ORA’s Social Media channels to stay up to date.
