London, your time is now!
The first cohort of students arrived to start their stay at our Imperial College campus, with the capital seemingly celebrating the occasion with glorious weather. Everyone was certainly in sunny spirits, and the arrivals went very smoothly. The students made introductions and settled in, enjoying welcome refreshments after some undoubtedly arduous journeys!
The Programme Director, Chris, was among the welcome party at the Royal School of Mines, an Edwardian building that has been featured in a number of successful films! The students received a Welcome Talk before dinner, and then had the chance to ask any burning questions in their Induction Talk after they had eaten. After these talks, there was a further chance to forge early friendships in the evening, and all the students interacted with each other brilliantly.
The harmonious atmosphere will only be enhanced by the promise of further fun in the sun, as the UK’s hot weather looks set to continue into the week. The students will start with some introductory lessons on Monday, with a tour of Kensington and a Quiz planned for later in the day – ahead of a week of challenging work and fun-filled activities.
As the next two weeks progress, we’ll be posting updates, pictures and videos about all the wonderful things the students are getting up to – so make sure you bookmark this blog and follow ORA’s Social Media channels to stay up to date.
