Summer has begun here at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. It was a fairly staggered start today as our students arrived throughout the afternoon from across the world to come and study on our wonderful summer programme in the historic and renowned city of Cambridge.
As everyone arrived they were greeted by some lovely sunshine, and as they entered the charming and idyllic city of Cambridge, all of the new students seemed impressed by the stunning architecture as well as the cultural activities that will be available to them during their stay here.
Our skilled and friendly group of counsellors were ready and waiting on site to welcome the students as they arrived with their luggage and high hopes for what they hope will be a fantastic couple of weeks.
After enjoying some refreshments on arrival, everyone listened intently to the interesting Welcome Talk from Programme Director, Greg, which focused on providing the students with details about the expectations of our programmes: namely, the importance of being kind and respectful to one another during their stay in Cambridge.
Following the welcome talks, the students then had the opportunity to do some mingling, as they chatted and got to know one another a little better over their meal in the dining hall. The evening finished with some icebreaker games and lots of laughter. Then it was off to bed to rest up for the first jam-packed day of lessons.
