It was another busy day for our students with a mix of regular classes and afternoon Masterclasses. Having completed their morning classes our 13-15 year-old students gathered in the outdoor Marquee for a crash-course in how to design, build and, of course, race their very own fan-powered cars! Under the guidance from the Wonderstruck STEM team, they worked in teams of three to successfully build these speedy little cars. They ended the workshop having a great time racing their cars around the Marquees.
Our 16-18 year-old students were put through paces of a different kind – communications. They were given the challenging task of discussing the pros and cons of building development in Oxford. We’re proud to say that the students were able to keep their cool and argue their positions rationally and calmly.
One of our students, Jieun, also celebrated her birthday, and to make sure she had a fabulous time, all the students got involved in making her some truly lovely birthday treats. From ‘cookie monster’ biscuits to pretty in pink rose-topped cupcakes, a lot of fun was had by all, and most importantly by Jieun herself.
After their sugary creations were consumed, the students were able to unwind together watching Marvel’s Spiderman movie.
