Week 2 has been action-packed so far for ORA students at Yarnton, who have already ventured out to London and Birmingham. Recently, they have stayed inside and practised their public speaking and presentation skills.
Presentations
For their first class of the day, students were treated to a lesson on how to give impressive presentations to an audience. With an expert teacher aided by counsellor Mohammed, the group were provided with top tips for posture, voice projection, content and slideshow layouts.
Equipped with all the presentational knowledge they could ever ask for, it was then up to the pupils to create their own content to present to the class. It was impressive to see the high levels of engagement with the taught material, as students produced exceptional presentations and delivered intellectually-stimulating material to their peers.
Debate
Public speaking skills were further refined at the renowned Debate took place for ORA students at University College and Yarnton Manor earlier this week. Click here to read all about the fast-paced and thought-provoking event.
