Session 5 is here and ORA students at Jowett Walk have enjoyed ambling around Oxford city centre.
Oxford Tour
A stay in Oxford is not complete without a city tour around the most famous and breathtaking sites. So, our students embarked on a walking tour, led by their knowledgeable counsellors, that took them all around the city, seeing everything from Colleges to iconic landmarks.
The Radcliffe Camera was a popular spot for photos as pupils grabbed their phones eagerly to capture the best snap. As they continued on the tour, past the renowned Bodleian Library and well-known Bridge of Sighs, pupils appreciated the gorgeous architecture that surrounded them, with many marvelling at the stunning colleges around them.
Those interested in history also enjoyed strolling past Oxford Castle and the Ashmolean Museum, whilst the Covered Market proved popular with those wanting a snack. After their jam-packed tour, students returned to Jowett Walk, chatting loudly about the amazing sites they had seen.
Quiz Night
A chance to get everyone together and working in teams was snatched up by pupils who wanted to chat with new friends and share their knowledge. With everyone settled in teams and eager for the chance to gain intellectual glory, the quiz began and challenged students to think carefully about a wide range of subjects.
The evening was a huge success and got pupils laughing loudly throughout the quiz. Though the competitive side of the event revealed friendly rivalry, the overall atmosphere was supportive, joyful and positive.
Keep an eye on the blogs to see what else ORA students get up to at Jowett Walk, with punting, museum trips and a visit to Woburn Abbey all coming up this week.
