Karaoke and a day out in London have kept ORA students at University College preoccupied outside their lessons this week.
Karaoke
A microphone arrived at University College this week, giving students the chance to shock and amaze their peers with their amazing or slightly screechy voices.
No one was spared from the karaoke machine as students formed groups or solo acts to try their singing voices in front of the amused crowd. Classic hits and international tunes alike echoed throughout the room and the pupils appreciated the range of singing talents that were presented to them.
Entertaining groups took to the stage to make their other friends laugh out loud at their hilarious performances, whilst some preferred to sing properly with precision to please the crowd. Both approaches were met with equal applause and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening of karaoke.
Trip to London
Thursday saw students zoom up to London to explore the famous capital city. Walking along famous roads, such as Oxford Street, pupils had the opportunity to do some shopping and browsing in popular shops. As they ambled through the beautiful city, some pupils noticed famous British icons such as the wonderful red telephone box. Refusing to miss the opportunity for such a classic photo, students ran inside and posed happily with this famous British kiosk.
The sunny weather made it the perfect day to explore the city and see its stunning architecture, pleasing our pupils who had been itching to see the city since their arrival in the UK. A trip to the theatre in the evening was a highlight of the day, as pupils watched the smash hit 42nd Street. It was a riveting and impressive performance that students thoroughly enjoyed.
University’s Got Talent
From singing and dancing to bottle flipping and guitar playing, the Talent Show at University College saw many weird and wonderful hidden skills come to light.
The variety of talent throughout the evening was mesmerising as everyone took to the stage to impress their friends. Some came in groups, others as soloists and a select few with the express intention of making their peers laugh out loud. It was a great event to bring everyone together for a hilarious evening before Session 4 comes to an end.
ORA students at University College come together tonight for their exciting Graduation ceremony and party. It is set to be a great night full of music, laughter and dancing so check back soon to find out what they get up to.
