The famous end-of-week parties kicked off around all ORA campuses on Friday night. With many exciting themes, interesting dancing and loud music, the night was enjoyed from Cambridge to St Andrews, and everywhere in between.
Cities of the World
ORA students at Jowett Walk, St Peter’s College and St Hugh’s came together for their end-of-week party with an exciting theme: Cities of the World. With students from over one hundred different nationalities visiting ORA, this theme gave students an exciting opportunity to flaunt their nationality and explore their home cities with pride.
With face paint at the ready, students gathered to have their national flags painted on their face, showing the diversity of students at ORA. The flags bought with them colour and identity, providing easy conversational starters for students meeting for the first time across the three Colleges.
After the face paint came the main event and everyone made their way to the wonderfully decorated marquee. With neon palm trees, painted landmarks, phone boxes, taxis and more, students quickly got into the party spirit. There was even a football table for those wanting some sporty action, whilst others feasted at the deliciously sweet selection of snacks available.
No time was wasted as pupils danced, chatted and laughed the night away. It was wonderful to see everyone mingling well across colleges and enjoying the end of their first week at ORA.
For many, the week went by in a blur of exciting excursions and captivating classes. With just one week left, we know our students will make the most of their time here with the activities planned for the days ahead.
