It’s been a great start to our 2018 summer schools here at Yarnton Manor, with the sun (mostly) shining and a whole range of experiences enjoyed by students from all over the world. Outside of class, afternoon and evening activities have included Salsa, Croquet and Bullet Journal Making, as well as exploring the city of Oxford and its historic sites.
A particular highlight was the Scavenger Hunt, where students had to carry out challenges around the city of Oxford in order to earn points (and prizes!). Challenges included getting a photo with at least 1000 books in it, finding Harry Potter artefacts, exploring narrow, cobbled streets, and more! Congratulations to team MAP (Maya, Aubrey and Paula) who completed the challenges in 45 minutes. The award for the most creative team went to Team India, who managed to recreate the Indian flag with sunglasses.
With the first party scheduled for this evening, we look forward to bringing you more pictures and updates over the coming days!
